Artist-In-Residence Program
Join us at Brookfield Craft Center for a transformative experience that will inspire, challenge and help you grow as an artist. Whether you’re exploring new techniques, expanding your creativity, or simply need time and space to focus, our residency program offers the perfect setting to support your work.
Program benefits are: dedicated space, time for experimentation, and the opportunity to elevate one’s craft.
The Brookfield Craft Center’s Artist-in-Residence program again offers a unique
opportunity for both established and emerging local artists across a range of visual arts and craft media.
The primary goal of our program is to promote the creative process of artists by providing them with the space, time, resources, and a supportive community to develop their work. The program will span two weeks beginning Sunday, August 10, 2025, through Sunday, August 24, 2025. Please note artists applying must be local, as there are no living quarters to offer at this time.
The application will be available online January 25, 2025, with a deadline of April 26, 2025. A $45.00 application fee is required. The two applicants selected will be notified by May 24, 2025.

New Fiber Artists - Blog Post
The Lynn Tendler Bignell Fiber Studio at Brookfield Craft Center shows no sign of slowing down in 2025. The BCC is already welcoming two new fiber instructors, Becca Barolli and Ryan Scails, to the rich roster of talented craft instructors teaching classes by the Still River.
In 2024, Brookfield Craft Center hosted fiber classes taught by the following instructors: Katie Strano (weaving), Rachel Barclay (sashiko embroidery), Rachel Gerowe (needle-felting), and Karin Mansberg (block-printing). Also teaching fiber classes as new instructors in the community last year were Jai Wilbert (hat-making), Emma Welty (Armenian needlelace, janyak), and Jan Rowell (Dorset buttons).
