BCC Web Staff Work on new woodturning skills with talented craftsmen Jim Degen and Keith Tompkins. Space in each class is limited to 6 students, so sign up soon to save your spot.
This class is for students who have recently taken a beginning level class and want to continue with bowl turning, or students who have turned in the past. All aspects of bowl turning will be covered: lathe safety, wood preparation, tool selection and use, basic design, sanding and finishing. A great way to brush up on your woodturning skills!
In this workshop, Morgan HK Schwartz will demonstrate proper techniques of flameworking borosilicate glass. Flower pendants, implosions, marbles, honeycombs, and working with dichroic glass are some of the skills that will be covered. Beginners welcome!
NC Black’s Andréa Kennington and master engraver Les Bryant return to our metals studio with another chance for you to learn their special techniques. Advanced students can really build skills in this intensive workshop–register now!
We have two jewelry classes starting this week: one on Wednesday mornings and the other on Thursday evenings. Both of these classes are appropriate for beginners: begin exploring the endlessly fascinating journey of creating a wearable work of art!
